Ya ha pasado un tiempo pero no me he olvidado de vosotros y espero que el 2014 esté siendo un año afortunado en vuestro trabajo y en vuestras vidas. ¡Y esto lo digo con total sinceridad! Todo está tranquilo en el frente de Landis pero no durante mucho tiempo. El próximo mes saldrá Art and Craft, la película que ha estado en fase de producción durante más de tres años, de la directora ganadora de un Emmy Jennifer Grausman y del director nominado al Oscar Sam Cullman. Art and Craft tendrá su estreno mundial en el Festival de Cine de Tribeca, en Chelsea, Nueva York, el 17 de abril. Mi mujer y yo estaremos allí para la proyección y con suerte podré continuar instruyendo a la gente no solamente sobre Landis, sino también para que desarrolléis ese ojo sagaz y os toméis el tiempo necesario en ser cuidadosos con vuestro trabajo de manera que estéis seguros de que no ha habido engaño. Digo esto no sólo para comunicaros que vuestro puesto como registradores es importante, sino porque esta puede haber sido una de las decisiones más importantes que habéis tomado. Para empezar, por qué fui yo quien descubrió y desenmascaró a Landis cuando sois muchos por ahí a los que les podía haber tocado esta tarea, no lo sé. Lo que sí sé es que hice mi trabajo, lo hice bien y ahora tengo el privilegio de mantener informados a mis colegas y de estar en contacto con ellos tanto como mis horarios me permiten. Sé que estáis todos muy ocupados pero echad un vistazo a los enlaces de este post, y que sigáis bien, con fuerza y felices, que el descanso ya vendrá en su debido momento.

To follow up on my post earlier, I was a poetic savant. I even submitted a few poems, to my luck to have 2 of them presented within this poetry book. But I surely know that I’m not good enough to earn a consistent stipend for them. What Landis should have done was work in a museum when younger and made friends with the staff or important patrons.
Iron
How the weight on these bars scars my arms deep,
It seeps to my subconscious, wincing with unbearable pains,
Stains my pores, the blood & tears will then weep,
All the agony lugging those rusted plates up high,
I can’t deny for my fate is sealed deep upon every warped number,
My slumber disturbed by ambiguous passes,
my glasses often tinted dark to ward off the lifeless stares,
My temper flares, blares cold as steel,
Hard to reveal the soul behind the shield,
I won’t yield the power behind the smite,
For they lack the insight to deal with my nature.
Landis is a person deep in denial about how society views him. To be an odd bird is something society holds in great disdain. I personally have tested this theory by submitting car alterations and designs to some major companies to of course receive nothing in return. Landis may have, when younger done the same with his own art, only to be denied recognition. What he fails to realize is that the world is a complex and cruel place, and it takes both luck, connections and great perseverance to succeed. To submit ‘designs’ that are not of your own doing but mere copies is to be in denial of oneself. I was able to come to the truth that I am not well liked … perhaps with help he can too. It would be the only way he will stop.
